The seemingly endless Damo Suzuki roadshow makes a pit-stop in Berlin again, this time the sonically pleasing Festsaal the venue for his ever-evolving sonic exploration.
Last April in Ausland Chateau Laut provided the back-up with their excellent post-rock signature rising and falling for a pleasing one and a half hours, Suzuki at the helm bent over the microphone singing and rapping along to his hearts content. Those expecting an encore where they all reappear to perform Can’s Tago Mago will be disappointed. repeat: this is not a Can show.
That’s all you can really say about a Damo Suzuki show. The band is booked, they show up, nobody rehearses and off they go.
This time the band will be: Jan Jelinek (Electronics), Hanno Leichtmann (Drums, Electronics) and Andrew Pekler (Guitar, Electronics). It could be glitchy, warm electronica all night…but you can’t tell with Damo Suzuki shows.
